Welcome to Lira Photography!
My name is Irina Fox and I am newborn, baby, maternity, children and family photographer. I offer photography services to clients located in the North Shore, Laval, Montreal, and South Shore.
How did it all start?
Although it would seem nice to say that I dreamt of photography ever since I was able to walk, that was not my case. I chose to study and work in finance and even though that path proved to be safe, I ended up realizing that my true passion laid elsewhere.
The discovery of my passion for photography I owe to the birth of my first son. Once he was born I found myself taking lots of pictures of him. Mind you, most of them were not of a good quality. This made me realize that I want to learn this art of photography to become better at
taking my son’s pictures.
So, I went back to school to arm myself with the much-needed know-how of photography and then plunged head first in the beautiful world of pixels, flashes, shutters … But, the models are without a single doubt the favorite part of my job.
I became a photographer
Thanks to photography I have learned how crucial it is to preserve as much as possible these moments that slip away so quickly. To be able to capture the happy and loving gaze of a future mom is really very precious to me. Or being able to photograph a smile on a baby’s face. Being able to transform these moments into eternity is a truly rewarding and inspiring experience forme. That’s what I am most proud of in my work!
Today, as a mother of three boys, I enjoy photography like never before. Not only did it give me a new career as a photographer, but photography also allowed me to capture the precious memories of my boys’ childhood.
