Frequently asked questions:
Do you have a question regarding your upcoming photo session? Check the frequently asked questions and you might be able to find your answers. Otherwise feel free to email or call me to have your questions answered.
1. Can I get the original(RAW)/unedited photographs from my photo session?
No, I never give the unedited photographs to my clients. To me, unedited photographs represent an unfinished product. I work hard to provide a high quality service to my clients and images taken straight from the camera do not represent the level of service that I strive to offer.
2. When do I get my final images?
The entire process starting from a photo shoot until you get your final images usually take from 4-6 weeks depending on the amount of orders I currently receive. It usually takes me a week to prepare your private gallery. I pre-select for you all the successful photographs from our photo session and place them in your private gallery. You will be getting a link and a password to your gallery to pick your final images.
Please note that you will have one month to finalize your selection, from the moment that I provide you with the link to your gallery. After one month, your link will expire and you will have a $25 fee to pay to restore your gallery. This is done to avoid the unnecessary delays in my work and to shorten the turn-around time for my clients.
Once you finalize your selection process, it will usually take 2-3 weeks for me to retouch your photographs.
Should you require your final images sooner than 4-6 weeks, there is a $50 rush fee you can pay and you will be getting your final images within 2 weeks after the shoot.
3. Will I be getting electronic and printed images after my photo session?
Yes, you will be getting both.
I will send you a link to download your images via email. Your digital images will come in high resolution and could easily be printed in a large format.
I will also be mailing your prints to your home address, so please make sure that you provide me with your correct mailing address.
4. Can I get my images faster than the regular processing time?
Yes, you can! However, please note that there is a $50 fee to shorten the processing time of your order.
Frequently asked questions regarding payments:
5. What type of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, personal cheques and E-Transfer payments.
6. Do I need to pay you a deposit in order to reserve a session with you?
Yes, a $100 deposit is required to book any session of your choice.
7. Is my deposit refundable?
This deposit is not refundable if you cancel your session. However, it is transferable to another session should you need to reschedule your session. Please note that rescheduling can only be done no later than 48 hours prior to your session. Otherwise your deposit will not be refunded.
8. When is the rest of the payment due?
The remaining balance is due at the day of your photo session.
Frequently asked questions: maternity photo session:
1. Can I pick two locations for my maternity sessions? For example two outside locations or studio + one outside location?
Yes you can! However, an additional charge of $100 will apply to your package.
2. What is the best time for a maternity photo session?
Anywhere between 30-36 weeks is ideal for your maternity photo session. Your belly is full but you are still comfortable to pose. For expecting mammas with twins (or more!) come in earlier – around 26 – 32 weeks – as twins tend to arrive much earlier than singletons.
3. Do you provide dresses for the maternity photo session?
I have a growing collection of maternity dresses in my studio. There are various dresses that suit women with different shapes, height, and skin tones. You will be able to choose several maternity gowns from my collection to use for your photo shoot.
4. Can you retouch my stretch marks/skin imperfections/certain body parts that I am conscious about?
Yes I can! You will be able to leave your comments related to retouching under each photograph that you choose. Please note that I only do the ‘cosmetic’ type of retouching, I would never make anyone look any different than they are in real life.
Frequently asked questions: newborn photo session related questions:
1. When is the best time to reserve my newborn photo session?
It’s better to reserve your newborn photo session 1-2 months in advance as I only take a limited number of newborn photo sessions during a month.
2. Do I need to bring any props/hats/decorations for the newborn photo session?
No! I have a large collection of specially designed photography props. The only thing that you need to bring is your beautiful baby.
3. Can I bring my husband and other child/kids to a newborn photo session?
Yes, you can! My newborn packages include family portraits. However, please make sure that you discuss the timing of your children’ arrival with me prior to your photo session. I prefer that your other child(ren) arrive at the end of our newborn photo session.
Baby related questions:
4. My newborn baby has jaundice/dry skin. Should I wait until it’s gone or can we still come in for a newborn photo session?
Most of the babies that I photograph have jaundice and/or other skin imperfections. Dry skin is also common among newborn babies. I would fix most of these skin issues while I am editing your final images. So you don’t have to wait for the jaundice or other skin issue to be gone.
5. Why is it important to photograph my baby within the first two weeks of the birth?
Newborns remain curled up the way they were in the womb for just a short while after birth (2-3 weeks). With time, babies lose their curviness as they grow bigger and get chubbier. Therefore, newborn photographs couldn’t be achieved past a certain milestone.
